Acting in "good faith", we have already bought the item and paid for shipping. They knowingly present a total cost that is WAAAAYYYYYYYYY cheaper than what they can offer. You will simply see a shipping price which corresponds to the shipping rates for, say, USPS (to the dollar!), but they - and only they - are fully aware they cannot honour it. *** Reverb do not now offer USPS or UPS shipping to Australia (and, presumably, elsewhere) *** The take-away from the chat session is this: If Reverb wants to counter these comments, they should remember that they have sent me the chat transcript, so I reserve the right to reveal those comments. I have done this many times, so offer some advice, but there seems to be something wrong at Reverb's end. But they cannot see any UPS or USPS options. They could get quotes for FedEx and DHL, which greatly exceeded the cost of the guitar (which in itself was not a cheap one). However, the seller advises that they now cannot proceed with the transaction using Reverb. It is called buying something in "good faith". Apart from leaving positive feedback for the seller when it arrives, that should be the end of the buyer's involvement in the transaction. We see a price, we see a shipping price, we see a total price. This is not just a comment on my experience. The last week has been a game-changer, and I will never buy from them again. Over the years I have had shaky experiences with Reverb. “Australians - and quite likely buyers from most other countries - should NOT use Reverb anymore. Perhaps I've just been lucky but i've bought and sold audio/music equipment for many, many years.new and om a varitey of businesses.before Reverb, I've never dealt with a company who seem purposely oblivious the the concept of customer service.ĭO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND DON'T DEAL WITH REVERB!!! ” I then reversed the charges with my bank.weeks later, I start getting emails from "Reverb support" essentially demanding that I order my bank to pay. with the seller makien no attempt to reply. I made several attempts to contact the seller through “Reverb’s” website. I replied to “Reverb” describing the problem again and was told to contact the seller directly. That same night I requested a refund through the “Reverb” customer service website and immediately received email from “Reverb” denying my refund request. This would have been obvious to the seller had he actually tried to record/play as was described in the his listing. It was obvious that the tape deck mechanism was NOT WORKING it would neither play tapes with existing content nor would it record new or playback new content. Once the order was delivered, I spent most of that day and evening attempting to play already recorded tapes and make new recordings. ![]() It did an excellent job at recording
